Alpha Reverse Transcriptase, 10000 U
MGI Alpha Reverse Transcriptase (MGI RT) is an improved enzyme that was developed through in vitro molecular evolution of M-MuLV RT. MGI RT is designed with significantly improved thermostability, enhanced processivity, increased affinity and diminished RNase H activity to enhance consistency and efficiency in cDNA synthesis for RT-PCR and RT-qPCR.
These features support higher overall cDNA yields with a variety of templates and improved synthesis from templates with complex secondary structures. In RT-qPCR applications, MGI RT also enables high efficiency synthesis over a wide range of input template amounts providing sensitive and accurate quantification of cDNA.
Features
- Great thermostability, Up to 60℃.
- Excellent sensitivity, cDNA synthesis from total RNA as low as 10 pg; support a wide range of input template (10 pg-1 ug)
- High cDNA yield, The enzyme ensures high yields of full-length cDNA products up to 11 kb.
- Application: First strand cDNA synthesis for RT-PCR and RT-qPCR, RNA library construction, Single cell RNA library construction, Synthesis of full length cDNA for cloning and expression, Generation of labeled cDNA probes for microarrays, Analysis of RNA by primer extension.
- Low RNase H activity, Decreased by 80.8%, which helps to prevent premature degradation of RNA.
- Reaction Temperature, 42-50℃.
- Optimum Temperature, 42℃.
- Purity by SDS-PAGE, ≥90% pure as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis through Coomassie Blue detection.
- Stability, Stored at -20 °C Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
