CoviDetect™ COVID-19 Multiplex assay is an in vitro diagnostic test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acids from SARS-CoV-2 in individuals suspected of COVID-19. SARS-CoV-2 and human nucleic acids extracted from nasal, nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal swab specimens or bronchoalveolar lavage are subject to reverse transcription (RT) followed by multiplex real-ti- me PCR amplification of viral N1 and N2 genes as well as human RNAse P. CoviDetect™ is designed for use with open real-time PCR platforms by detection on FAM, HEX/VIC and Cy5 channels.
