- The plastic granules coated with lithium, sodium or ammonium heparin (generally 16 I.U. heparin/ml blood) form a layer between the blood cells and the plasma during centrifugation. In the S-Monovette® Lithium Heparin with heparin in liquid form (generally 19 I.U. heparin/ml blood), the lithium heparin is in spray dose form.
