In the past, preamplification kits and techniques often resulted in uneven amplification of targets and incorrect or biased data (as shown by low correlation coefficients between preamplified and unamplified samples). TaqMan® PreAmp Master Mix amplifies with no bias and provides extremely high correlation between amplified and unamplified cDNA

With TaqMan® PreAmp Master Mix, preamplification setup takes only a few minutes. After a one-time pooling of the TaqMan® assays , preamplification setup (mixing the pooled assays with cDNA sample and TaqMan® PreAmp Master Mix) takes only five additional minutes. Cycling takes 1.5 hours using a GeneAmp® 9700 thermal cycler
