Invitrogen™ Intact Virus Precipitation Reagent (optimized for SARS-CoV-2)

Intact Virus Precipitation Reagent (optimized for SARS-CoV-2) enables fast and efficient enrichment of intact, live SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus from dilute cell culture and virus transport media. The enrichment is gentle and fast and can be performed in less than three hours. By tying up water molecules, the reagent forces less-soluble components such as vesicles out of solution, allowing them to be collected by a short, low-speed centrifugation. The isolated intact virus can be used for functional studies, in contrast to current SARS-CoV-2 purification methods based on extracting RNA for detection purposes. Intact Virus Precipitation Reagent allows for enrichment of intact virus from large, dilute samples for further virus growth or use in any downstream functional assays, protein research, PCR, etc.
