Thermo Scientific™ HyPerforma™ 5:1 Single-Use Bioreactor, jacketed, AC motor, load cells, E-box, 250 L
This 250 L Thermo Scientific Single-Use Bioreactor (S.U.B.), water-jacketed, 120VAC, with AC motor, E-box, and analog load cells, is designed using traditional stainless-steel bioreactor principles to ensure optimal cell culture performance. The S.U.B. is a fully functional bioreactor vessel including single-use sterile contact surfaces for mixing, venting, sparging, and temperature sensing. The complete line of S.U.B.s include 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, and 2000 L sizes that ensure consistent scalability from pilot-scale studies, pre-clinical to commercial production.
Features
- Unique proprietary mixing system that enables conventional overhead mixing while maintaining sterility and integrity of the S.U.B. BioProcess Container (BPC)
- Largest qualified standard component library, which allows for customization of S.U.B. BPCs
- Minimized vessel footprint and reduced hold-up volumes
- Offered with AC or DC motors designed for precise agitation control
- Optional cable management tree provides line set and cabling organization for ease of use
- Load cells offered as standard feature with analog or digital communication options
- Option to use industry-leading single-use and traditional sensors for pH, DO, and pressure monitoring
- Option to choose the bioreactor vessel as a stand-alone system or a complete turnkey system with dedicated controls from either the Finesse™ or Applikon™ families of control systems for bioproduction. These systems work on PC, Delta V™, Allen-Bradley™, or Siemens™ software platforms.
- Updated 5:1 mixing turn-down ratio in combination with patented cross-flow sparger technology introduces gas just above liquid’s surface—to facilitate efficient mass transfer CO2 stripping, and reduce bubble sparging and associated foam damage to cells. This feature allows customers to do more with fewer vessels—which improves productivity and reduces costs simultaneously.
Applications of the Thermo Scientific S.U.B. include:
- Batch, fed batch, and perfusion cultures
- Suspension and microcarrier cultures
- Proven for various cell lines such as CHO, Sp2/0 hybridoma, PER.C6, HEK293, Vero, MDCK, etc.
