Applied Biosystems™ PrepSEQ™ Rapid Spin Sample Preparation Kit - Extra Clean with Proteinase K

The PrepSEQ® Spin Sample Preparation Kit – Extra Clean with Proteinase K is recommended for difficult to lyse bacteria, like Listeria monocytogenes, that also has a high lipid content, such as soft cheeses. The kit was developed for the rapid preparation of DNA from food and environmental samples for use in PCR amplification reactions. Using a simple spin protocol, PrepSEQ™ Rapid Spin efficiently inactivates PCR inhibitors. For laboratories involved in food and environmental testing, PCR-based methods are rapidly becoming the standard for accurate, sensitive bacterial detection. This has created the demand for a sample preparation method that is fast, cost-effective and capable of extracting high-quality DNA from a broad range of sample types. While such methods have been developed for dedicated, high-throughput laboratories, there is a growing need for methods suitable to low-to-medium throughput applications.

Features

  • Designed for Food Safety and Environmental Monitoring applications
  • Supports low-to-medium throughput work loads (up to 100 samples a day)
  • Inactivates PCR inhibitors so you will most likely not have to repeat the template preparation step
