The Silencer™ Select Human Membrane Trafficking siRNA Library is designed for researchers targeting proteins known or predicted to participate in membrane trafficking or remodeling. This library is designed with an aim to understand functional gene expression in critical cellular functions including biosynthesis, secretion, endocytosis, lysosomal and proteasomal protein degradation, and phagocytosis. The Silencer Select Human Membrane Trafficking siRNA Library contains 426 Ambion™ Silencer Select siRNAs targeting 142 genes. This library of highly potent, chemically-modified siRNAs was designed using the most up-to-date genome databases, including the NCBI RefSeq database and cross-referenced to the Gene Ontology Consortium (GO) database and/or the HUGO Gene Nomenclature Committee (HGNC). The Silencer Select siRNAs are designed using Thermo Fisher Scientific’s leading algorithms—along with our novel locked nucleic acid (LNA) chemical modifications, this helps to maximize the efficacy, specificity and potency required for RNAi screening against genes integral to membrane trafficking.
